About us

Thomas Crosbie Media (TCM) is the new media subsidiary of TCH. TCM was established in September 2000 to develop all digital media opportunities presented to the TCH group.

TCM operates two business lines:

  • A content provider, providing digital content for TV, websites and mobile phones.
  • A network of websites to provide advertising and sponsorship platforms. Its network of websites cover news, politics, sport, business, motoring, travel and jobs.

The websites combine the authority, values and intelligence that you would expect from the newspapers belonging to TCH with the immediacy, depth and interactivity of the Internet.

Our Services

TCM operates Ireland's leading electronic breaking news service - BreakingNews.ie

Through a simple and cost-effective syndication model, the TCM breaking news service now lies at the heart of some of Ireland's leading consumer-focussed companies, and is helping them to maximise revenues.

Content can be accessed through your TV, mobile phone and personal computer. At present TCM's breaking news service is used by Esat BT for its two website portals, iol.ie and oceanfree.net, by Meteor Mobile Communications for SMS news alerts and WAP services, by O2 Mobile SMS news alerts and WAP/IMODE services, by AIB for its Treasury department extranet, and by some of Ireland's leading media websites such as:

Each service has been tailored to fit the needs of the client, therefore providing them with their own ISPs. The skills and experience within TCM mean that we are now providing news content to Irish people whenever, wherever and in whatever format they desire.
